Professional help to find the right support

If you are under 18, or if you are a parent of someone aged 5-17, you can ask for MindMate SPA to help find support for your/your child’s mental health.

• via our online referral system 
• or by calling  0300 555 0324 (office hours only)

A SPA worker will direct you to the most suitable service which might be in the community, in school/college or an NHS mental health service.

Many of the community mental health services can also be accessed directly yourself alongside your referral to SPA (details here)

Support  with Autism or ADHD

The MindMate Neurodiversity Hub has key resources, information, advice and support for neurodivergent children, young people and their families with or without a formal diagnosis.

We have a range of wellbeing/mental health services in Leeds who support neurotypical and neurodivergent young people.

Since July 2026, Leeds MindMate SPA now coordinates all requests for a neurodevelopmental assessment (ADHD/Autism)  including via the Right to Choose pathway. Parent/carers can now begin this process directly – you no longer need to access this via your GP.
